A great meeting held at the Holmen Area Library. Our guest speaker, Tom Thibodeau (Viterbo University), spoke on Servant Leadership, even got the group to stand and interact!

At our February 2018 Meeting, we enjoyed the presentation by Bev Rott from Holmen’s Hope. This organization is a bright star in our community providing assistance to those in need.

Congratulations to Lowman Family Dental on opening their new office located at 814 Main Street in Holmen, Wisconsin! They built an attractive building that adds to all the improvements happening in Holmen. The Lowman Dental building is also home to Optical Fashions, & Premier Spine Health & Injury. Welcome all and thanks for bringing your services closer to our front doors!


 

HBA Helps Our Community and our Schools

On May 4, 2017, our HBA Board President Ryan Rugroden presented a check totalling $1150.00 to cover registration expense for
23 students to attend the National DECA Convention in California.

 

On April 18, 2017 – our President Ryan Rugroden presented a check to the Holmen Police Department and Chief Shane Collins.
The $500 is to jump start a program for the Holmen Community that Chief Collins is working on and will be releasing the
details to in the near future.

On March 28, 2017, our HBA Board President Ryan Rugroden presented a $500.00 check to
Evergreen Elementary towards their playground equipment fundraiser.

Community Appreciation Award Winner:
Congratulations to Karen & Chad McCathie for receiving HBA's 2017 "Community Appreciation Award" at our Annual Banquet.  Karen & Chad have helped beautify Holmen with restoring a number of buildings which in turn brought more business to Holmen.  They are the owners of "Moxy's Salon & Spa" along with "Shiny Objects Boutique".

Presidents Award Winner:
Congratulations to Vince Ruger on receiving the 2017 HBA "President's Award", also at the HBA Annual Banquet.  The award was given out by out-going President, Ryan Rugroden, for Vince's above and beyond service and dedication to HBA.

Next Meeting:
Our next membership meeting is Thursday, May 12th, 2018 at the Holmen Area Library (note change of venue). The meeting begins at 12:00 pm.  Our guest speakers will be Jen Kuderer (Wisconsin Economic Development Corp) – talking about programs available to small businesses in our area and current initiatives.
